Fake SM Supermalls 40th anniversary gift card quiz that asks you to share the event

A page using the SM Supermalls name and logo says "Congratulations!" and offers "A gift card worth 2000 Philippine pesos" for answering a four-question quiz about the mall chain's 40th anniversary. The banner lists three steps: complete the survey, share the event with your friends on social media, then show your post at the SM Concierge to claim the gift card. Below the quiz, a list of comments shows people saying they already won. The page was reported on August 5, 2026, at an address that is not SM Supermalls' own website.

What’s different in this version

These traits set this message apart from the usual pattern.

  1. The brand used is SM Supermalls, a shopping mall chain in the Philippines. The prize is 2,000 Philippine pesos.

  2. Sharing is one of three numbered steps in the banner, and the last step says to show your post at the SM Concierge, so the fake promotion points people to a real mall service desk.

  3. The occasion is a 40th anniversary.

  4. The page shows the date you open it as the promotion date. The copy saved on August 5 showed 8/5/2026.

  5. The fake comments use the same names and the same words as the Jollibee version in this family.

✓ Do this

  • Close the page and verify promotions through the brand's official website or app, opened independently.
  • Warn anyone you may have sent the link to so they do not open it or share it further.
  • Report the message or page through the service where you received it, then delete it.
  • If you entered information or payment details, contact your bank or card provider and change any reused password through the official service.

✗ Avoid this

  • Do not share the page with groups, friends, or family to unlock a prize.
  • Do not enter personal, account, or payment information on an unfamiliar prize page.
  • Do not trust a brand logo, countdown, comments, or claims that other people already received the reward.
  • Do not use links from the page to verify the promotion; find the official brand website yourself.
