This is a version of Share-to-Unlock Prize Scam.

Fake Pick n Pay 60th anniversary gift card quiz that asks you to share it on social media

A page using the Pick n Pay name and logo says "Congratulations!" and offers a "Gift card worth €500" for answering a four-question quiz. Its banner reads "BIRTHDAYS MATTER IN EVERY HOME" and "JOIN THE CELEBRATION!", and tells you to share the promotion with your friends on social media, with WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube icons. Below the quiz, a list of comments shows people saying they already won. The page was reported from South Africa on October 22, 2026, at damascovzlagala[.]com, an address with no link to Pick n Pay.

What’s different in this version

These traits set this message apart from the usual pattern.

  1. The brand used is Pick n Pay, a South African retailer. The banner names South Africa, but the prize is in euros (€500).

  2. The occasion is a 60th anniversary, shown as a family birthday party, with a gift card on the banner labelled "SMART SHOPPER".

  3. Sharing is part of the banner: "SHARE THIS PROMOTION with your friends on South Africa's most popular social media", with six app icons.

  4. The web address does not use the brand name. Earlier versions in this family used brand-like names such as kmart-luckgift[.]com and lacoloia-gift[.]com. This one, damascovzlagala[.]com, was 52 days old when reported and served the page under a long random path.

  5. The page shows the date you open it as the promotion date. The copy saved on October 22 showed 10/22/2026.

  6. The fake comments use the same names and words as other versions in this family, including the Jollibee, La Colonia and Mi Comisariato pages.

How this scam works

  1. 1

Step 1: You receive or open a page that uses a well-known brand name and says you have won a prize.

  2. 2

Step 2: The page asks you to share it on social media or with multiple groups or friends through messaging apps before you can claim the prize.

  3. 3

Step 3: The shared link may use an unrelated web address and take recipients through another prize or reward page.

  4. 4

Step 4: The page may later ask for personal details, payment information, or additional actions to release the supposed prize.

✓ Do this

  • Close the page and verify promotions through the brand's official website or app, opened independently.
  • Warn anyone you may have sent the link to so they do not open it or share it further.
  • Report the message or page through the service where you received it, then delete it.
  • If you entered information or payment details, contact your bank or card provider and change any reused password through the official service.

✗ Avoid this

  • Do not share the page with groups, friends, or family to unlock a prize.
  • Do not enter personal, account, or payment information on an unfamiliar prize page.
  • Do not trust a brand logo, countdown, comments, or claims that other people already received the reward.
  • Do not use links from the page to verify the promotion; find the official brand website yourself.
