Fake Alfamart shopping card quiz that asks you to share it on social media

Pages using the Alfamart name and logo say "Selamat!" (Congratulations!) and offer a chance to win a shopping voucher or gift card by answering a four-question quiz. One version was for Indonesia's 81st Independence Day and promised a voucher worth Rp 1,000,000. Another was for Alfamart's 27th anniversary and promised a card worth Rp 2,700,000. The banner on both tells you to share the page with your friends on social media to get the prize, and the anniversary version shows buttons for WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. Below the quiz, a list of comments shows people saying they already won. At least six web addresses carried these pages. They were reported between August 10 and September 10, 2026, and none of them is Alfamart's own website.

What’s different in this version

These traits set this message apart from the usual pattern.

  1. The brand used is Alfamart, a convenience store chain in Indonesia. The page text is in Indonesian and the prizes are in rupiah.

  2. Sharing is written into the banner itself. "BAGIKAN KE MEDIA SOSIAL DAN TEMAN-TEMAN ANDA UNTUK MENDAPATKAN HADIAHNYA!" means "Share on social media and with your friends to get the prize!"

  3. The occasion changed over time: Indonesia's 81st Independence Day in August, then Alfamart's 27th anniversary in September.

  4. Five of the addresses are named after J.CO Donuts, a different chain, but showed the Alfamart quiz. Another J.CO-named address showed a quiz for Richeese Factory. The name in the address does not tell you which brand the page will show.

  5. The page shows the date you open it as the promotion date. The copy saved on August 10 showed 8/10/2026 and the copies saved on September 23 showed 9/23/2026.

  6. The fake comments use the same names and the same words as the Jollibee version in this family, translated into Indonesian.

  7. The anniversary banner adds small print saying the card cannot be exchanged for cash ("Kartu ini tidak dapat ditukar dengan uang tunai"), which makes it look like a real store promotion.

How this scam works

  1. 1

    Step 1: You receive or open a page that uses a well-known brand name and says you have won a prize.

  2. 2

    Step 2: The page asks you to share it on social media or with multiple groups or friends through messaging apps before you can claim the prize.

  3. 3

    Step 3: The shared link may use an unrelated web address and take recipients through another prize or reward page.

  4. 4

    Step 4: The page may later ask for personal details, payment information, or additional actions to release the supposed prize.

✓ Do this

  • Close the page and verify promotions through the brand's official website or app, opened independently.
  • Warn anyone you may have sent the link to so they do not open it or share it further.
  • Report the message or page through the service where you received it, then delete it.
  • If you entered information or payment details, contact your bank or card provider and change any reused password through the official service.

✗ Avoid this

  • Do not share the page with groups, friends, or family to unlock a prize.
  • Do not enter personal, account, or payment information on an unfamiliar prize page.
  • Do not trust a brand logo, countdown, comments, or claims that other people already received the reward.
  • Do not use links from the page to verify the promotion; find the official brand website yourself.
