This is a version of Share-to-Unlock Prize Scam in Lottery / Prize.
Fake Renewed Hope APC campaign page promising Nigerians a 25,000 naira monthly cash transfer
A Hausa-language page styled as a Facebook post shows a banner for the "RENEWED HOPE APC CAMPAIGN ₦25,000 CASH TRANSFER", with All Progressives Congress (APC) branding and Nigerian naira notes. It says the Federal Government is giving ₦25,000 a month in direct cash support (₦75,000 over three months) and tells you to register in 30 seconds, confirm your details and get the money at once, with a "Karɓi ₦25,000" (Receive ₦25,000) button. Under it are reaction and share counts and comments thanking the government. The Research Inbox analysis found it asks for your name and bank account number and says you must share it to WhatsApp groups or friends before you can withdraw. It was first observed in Nigeria on November 2, 2026, at renewedhope.renewedoffer[.]com, an address that does not belong to the Nigerian government or the APC.
What’s different in this version
These traits set this message apart from the usual pattern.
-
The page does not copy a company brand. It uses the APC's "Renewed Hope" campaign slogan, APC logos and the claim that the Federal Government ("Gwamnatin Tarayya") is paying, so the prize looks like a government benefit.
-
The page is written in Hausa, not English.
-
The banner shows four steps: click, register in 30 seconds, confirm your details, receive ₦25,000. The Research Inbox analysis found the next steps ask for your name and bank account number and say the money can only be withdrawn after you share the page to five WhatsApp groups or 15 friends.
-
The page copies the look of a Facebook post, with 341 reactions, 6 comments and 18 shares, and comments thanking the government. All of it is part of the page.
-
The page's own sharing preview still carries a title from an earlier "New Year offer" page, and the Research Inbox matched the same kit to pages on other unrelated addresses, so it is reused across countries and lures.
-
The registration and share steps were not captured directly, and how the link reached the person who found it was not recorded.

How this scam works
- 1
Step 1: You receive or open a page that uses a well-known brand name and says you have won a prize.
- 2
Step 2: The page asks you to share it on social media or with multiple groups or friends through messaging apps before you can claim the prize.
- 3
Step 3: The shared link may use an unrelated web address and take recipients through another prize or reward page.
- 4
Step 4: The page may later ask for personal details, payment information, or additional actions to release the supposed prize.
✓ Do this
- Close the page and verify promotions through the brand's official website or app, opened independently.
- Warn anyone you may have sent the link to so they do not open it or share it further.
- Report the message or page through the service where you received it, then delete it.
- If you entered information or payment details, contact your bank or card provider and change any reused password through the official service.
✗ Avoid this
- Do not share the page with groups, friends, or family to unlock a prize.
- Do not enter personal, account, or payment information on an unfamiliar prize page.
- Do not trust a brand logo, countdown, comments, or claims that other people already received the reward.
- Do not use links from the page to verify the promotion; find the official brand website yourself.
