Fake Indomaret shopping voucher quiz that asks you to share it with friends

Pages using the Indomaret name and logo say "Selamat!" (Congratulations!) and offer a shopping voucher worth Rp 500.000 for answering a four-question quiz. One version was for Indonesia's Independence Day and another was for Indomaret's 38th anniversary. The Independence Day banner tells you to share the event on your favorite social media and invite your friends to win a shopping voucher. Below the quiz, a list of comments shows people saying they already won. At least two web addresses carried these pages. They were reported between August 17 and September 15, 2026, and neither is Indomaret's own website.

What’s different in this version

These traits set this message apart from the usual pattern.

  1. The brand used is Indomaret, a convenience store chain in Indonesia. The page text is in Indonesian and the prize is a Rp 500.000 shopping voucher.

  2. Sharing is written into the banner: share the Indomaret Independence Day event on your favorite social media and invite friends.

  3. The occasion changed over time: Independence Day in August, then a 38th anniversary ("Hari Jadi ke-38") in September.

  4. One address misspells "reward" (indomaretrewawrd[.]com).

  5. The page shows the date you open it as the promotion date. The copy saved on August 17 showed 8/17/2026.

  6. The fake comments use the same names and the same words as the Jollibee version in this family, translated into Indonesian.

How this scam works

    Step 1: You receive or open a page that uses a well-known brand name and says you have won a prize.

    Step 2: The page asks you to share it on social media or with multiple groups or friends through messaging apps before you can claim the prize.

    Step 3: The shared link may use an unrelated web address and take recipients through another prize or reward page.

    Step 4: The page may later ask for personal details, payment information, or additional actions to release the supposed prize.

✓ Do this

  • Close the page and verify promotions through the brand's official website or app, opened independently.
  • Warn anyone you may have sent the link to so they do not open it or share it further.
  • Report the message or page through the service where you received it, then delete it.
  • If you entered information or payment details, contact your bank or card provider and change any reused password through the official service.

✗ Avoid this

  • Do not share the page with groups, friends, or family to unlock a prize.
  • Do not enter personal, account, or payment information on an unfamiliar prize page.
  • Do not trust a brand logo, countdown, comments, or claims that other people already received the reward.
  • Do not use links from the page to verify the promotion; find the official brand website yourself.
