Fake PAK'nSAVE Labour Day gift card quiz that asks you to share it with your mates

Pages using the PAK'nSAVE name and logo say "Congratulations!" and offer "A free gift card worth $500" for answering a four-question quiz about a Labour Day promotion. The banner tells you to complete the survey, receive a gift card, then share it on New Zealand's favourite social platforms. Below the quiz, a list of comments shows people saying they already won. At least two web addresses carried these pages. They were reported on October 10 and October 12, 2026, and neither address contains the store's name or is PAK'nSAVE's own website.

What’s different in this version

These traits set this message apart from the usual pattern.

  1. The brand used is PAK'nSAVE, a supermarket chain in New Zealand. The prize is a $500 gift card and the occasion is Labour Day.

  2. Sharing is the third numbered step in the banner ("SHARE & WIN") and the banner ends with "SHARE WITH YOUR MATES!"

  3. The web addresses are short random letters (yjlch[.]com, fzmbr[.]com) and do not contain the brand name.

  4. The page shows the date you open it as the promotion date. The copy saved on October 10 showed 10/10/2026.

  5. The fake comments use the same names and the same words as the Jollibee version in this family.

How this scam works

    Step 1: You receive or open a page that uses a well-known brand name and says you have won a prize.

    Step 2: The page asks you to share it on social media or with multiple groups or friends through messaging apps before you can claim the prize.

    Step 3: The shared link may use an unrelated web address and take recipients through another prize or reward page.

    Step 4: The page may later ask for personal details, payment information, or additional actions to release the supposed prize.

✓ Do this

  • Close the page and verify promotions through the brand's official website or app, opened independently.
  • Warn anyone you may have sent the link to so they do not open it or share it further.
  • Report the message or page through the service where you received it, then delete it.
  • If you entered information or payment details, contact your bank or card provider and change any reused password through the official service.

✗ Avoid this

  • Do not share the page with groups, friends, or family to unlock a prize.
  • Do not enter personal, account, or payment information on an unfamiliar prize page.
  • Do not trust a brand logo, countdown, comments, or claims that other people already received the reward.
  • Do not use links from the page to verify the promotion; find the official brand website yourself.
