Fake CDEK tracking page telling a seller that money from a buyer is waiting

A Russian-language page copies the CDEK (СДЭК) parcel tracking page under the heading "Отследить отправление" (track a shipment). It shows an order for "Наушники AirPods Max" (AirPods Max headphones) with the status "Заказ оплачен" (order paid) and "Получение средств" (receiving funds), hides the delivery address behind "подтвердите заказ для отображения" (confirm the order to display it) and shows "К получению" (to receive) 10 000 ₽ with a green "Получить" (receive) button. It was first observed on October 31, 2026, at order89298[.]rest, an address that does not belong to CDEK and was two days old at the time.

What’s different in this version

These traits set this message apart from the usual pattern.

  1. The page copies CDEK, a delivery company used for parcels in Russia, with its green logo and menu. The web address order89298[.]rest has nothing to do with CDEK and was registered two days before it was captured.

  2. The page is aimed at the seller, not the buyer. It shows the item and price filled in, a timeline from "Создан" (created) to "Заказ оплачен" (order paid) to "Получение средств" (receiving funds), and a box that says 10 000 ₽ is waiting to be received.

  3. The parcel card shows the sender's name, the recipient's name and the recipient's phone number, filled in with real-looking details. These details are redacted in the image.

  4. Pressing "Получить" (receive) sends the form to a payment step on the same address. The page also carries a hidden error that says there was a problem processing the payment and asks the person to make a refund and then try the payment again.

  5. The page loads a live chat window, so a fake support agent can guide the person through the payment step.

  6. The capture stops at the tracking page. The card entry page that follows the "Получить" button was not recorded.

How this scam works

    Step 1: You list an item for sale online. A buyer contacts you, agrees to buy without questions and says they will pay through a delivery service.

  2. 2

    Step 2: The buyer sends you a link to a page that copies a well-known delivery company's tracking page. It shows your item, the price, a status such as "paid" or "receiving funds" and a button to collect the money.

  3. 3

    Step 3: To receive the money, the page leads you to a payment step that asks for your bank card details. It may show a live chat with "support" to help you through it.

    Step 4: The page may then show an error and tell you to make a refund or repeat the payment. Every step takes money from your card instead of paying you.

✓ Do this

  • Get paid only through the marketplace's own payment system or by a method you already trust.
  • Check any delivery by typing the delivery company's website address yourself or opening its official app.
  • Stop if a buyer insists on a delivery service you did not choose and sends you a link to collect the money.
  • Report the buyer on the marketplace and call your bank right away if you entered card details.

✗ Avoid this

  • Do not enter your card number, expiry date, security code or a one-time code to receive money.
  • Do not trust a tracking page because it shows the delivery company's logo, your item and the right price.
  • Do not make a "refund" or repeat a payment because a page or chat agent says there was an error.
